George Bitto

George G. Bitto was named vice president and controller, Gases and Equipment Group in January 2004. He is responsible for Air Products’ Worldwide Gases, Energy and Process Industries and Global Healthcare businesses, as well as leading the Decision Support function for the company.

Mr. Bitto joined Air Products in 1987 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program. He subsequently held a variety of financial analysis positions within the controllership organization. In 1995 he joined the Treasury department where he was named manager, Planning & Analysis, and in 1998 he was named division controller for North America Gases. Mr. Bitto moved to the commercial organization in 1990 and was appointed general manager of the North America Liquid Bulk business. He returned to the finance organization in 2002 as controller for the Chemicals Group before assuming his current position.

Program Director, US Healthcare
Air Products

John C. Robinson joined Air Products in 1993 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program, with commercial assignments in polyurethane additives, cogeneration, and emulsion polymers. He subsequently held a variety of positions in product management, marketing and business development within the global polymers business.

Mr. Robinson relocated to Cologne, Germany in 2003 to assume the role of European Business Manager for Air Products Polymers, L.P. a global partnership between Air Products and Wacker-Chemie. In July 2005 he was appointed to lead the Strategic Planning & Analysis department within the Corporate Development Office. In January 2008 Mr. Robinson moved into the US Healthcare business as Director of critical strategic programs.

Tom Ward

Vice President, North American Merchant Gases
Air Products

Thomas J. Ward joined Air Products in 1981 as a development engineer for applied research and development. He subsequently held a variety of positions in product management and global marketing, as well as general management within the company’s gases businesses. Ward was named business director of SAP in 2001, during which time he oversaw the first four releases of SAP, and assumed his current position in July 2004. Ward is responsible for Continuous Improvement, Process Management, Knowledge Management, Supply Chain Master Data and Supply Chain Planning.
